Life After the Sale

You Achieved Success – But the Success Feels Empty!
You Feel There Must Be More!
Confused - You Find Yourself Asking – What’s Next?

Just continuing to pursue the same path does not feel right.

At a deep intuitive level, you feel “there’s more” but it’s not yet clear.

And you start to ask:

  • What truly matters to me now?
  • What do I want to do with the time I have left?
  • What legacy do I want to leave behind?
  • If my life ended today, what would my story say—and what do I want it to say?

“A deeper purpose calls, – and intuition leads, if we dare to follow.”

The Trigger

For some, this moment is triggered by a life event—loss, change, challenge, retirement.

For others, it’s the quiet disappointment of achieving everything they thought would bring fulfilment… and still feeling like something’s missing.

Just Meaningful and Helpful Conversations

I’m not building a mentoring business — I’m fortunate enough not to need to.

I’m creating a small space for meaningful conversations.

There are no promises beyond a commitment to honest conversations and a genuine desire to help you find clarity.

If I was to describe a successful outcome in one word – It’s “Clarity”.

Why I do it? – I’m intensely interested in the subject and I enjoy helping people and making new connections!

Kevin Nolan

If you’re reading this and you are like I was, at a key life milestone and grappling to find clarity of direction, I hope the below summary of my journey will resonate with you and be helpful.

Having sold my business and reached both complete financial and time freedom, I’ve stepped away from the corporate world and into a new chapter of my life — A New Adventure.

Although I can make that statement simply now — that transition was not simple.

On closing the sale of the business as one would expect I had a tremendous sense of achievement of having eventually achieved a major life milestone. On leaving the business a number of months later there was an extraordinary feeling of liberation arising from the time freedom that only financial independence can bring.

However, just months after leaving the business I was astounded to find that those sensations of achievement and liberation had quickly dissipated and instead were replaced by a strange unsettling feeling of confusion and uncertainty as to what was next for me. It was a strange internal feeling that just continuing to pursue the same path was not right — that there was more in me and that change was needed.

An Old Learning Remembered

Although unsettling, it was not the first time I felt and experienced this. I had experienced it many years before in my twenties. It coincided with me overcoming the most challenging point of my life and was an unsettling feeling that there was more in me and more to me than I was living. It was the trigger for me making the decision to take time giving up my job and go solo travelling, having new experiences that pushed boundaries, broadened my perspective and at the same time quite the mind and tune into intuition to gain clarity. For me back then that clarity was around “time” — that time was my most precious resource and something I needed to take control of and protect. That I would get one crack at this life and whatever that was to be, good or bad, it was up to me, and I would take responsibility for it. It gave rise to the decision to pursue a life of self-employment and freedom and control of my time, culminating in me eventually selling my last business in my mid-fifties, achieving both complete financial and time freedom.

That experience in my twenties taught me so much. I came to understand mindset conditioning and how our experiences throughout our life and our thoughts on those experiences creates within us an image of ourselves our self-image, and a set of beliefs as to who we see ourselves as being and what we believe is possible for us. That we go through life seeing ourselves and the world through the lens of that conditioning and limited by those beliefs unless something happens to shake us out of it in what is a perspective changing shift.

That the intuitive voice that whispers — “there’s more” — is us at a deeper level railing against this limiting conditioning that’s keeping us small, to push ourselves to what is really possible for us.

After selling my business in my fifties, that feeling I had in my twenties was there again. It was that feeling that there was more. More to me than just continuing to pursue the same path and that change again was needed!

Like in my twenties, I again took time, started journaling and solo travelling to again broaden my perspective, quite the mind and tune into intuition. After years of working on my business it was again time to focus on working on myself. Taking that time has proved invaluable. It has brought me clarity around what’s really important. It has awakened me to the fact that there is still much, much more in me — more to do — more to experience — more to become. That the next phase of my life has the potential to be the most exciting, rewarding and adventurous yet.

I am now gaining new knowledge and information, having new experiences, realising new capabilities, connecting with new interesting and inspirational people, and having experiences and adventures I never thought possible.

Tuning into and trusting that intuitive wisdom has guided me to writing my first book and to this new life’s adventure I am now on.

My purpose now is simple but powerful.

It’s no longer about chasing success.

It’s about living life fully.

It’s about pushing boundaries and seeing how far more I can go as I endevor to “make my story the greatest story I will ever tell” and help others do the same!

and

Be able to look back on a magnificent life lived to the full with no regrets!

My Book

Book cover: Re-Discovering That Something Within by Kevin Nolan

I did not set out to write a book. But then in my mid-fifties I found myself drawn to write with a strong intuitive feeling that it could help me in some way.

Without doubt I benefitted as it massively challenged and stretched me to better understand myself, my experiences, my values & beliefs, what I had learned and what I was capable of believing possible for myself in the future.

It was coming from deep within me and I was writing it purely for myself knowing it was something I knew I needed to explore to help me in some way.

It was a journey of re-discovery and reconnection with a deeper side of myself (That Something Within) and to tap into intuitive wisdom and capabilities difficult to imagine possible but which guides us to a life of meaning and purpose we are meant to live. It is pushing boundaries and seeing how far more we can go as we come to understand the extraordinary potential we all have when we live fully aligned with who we truly are and who we are meant to be.

The purpose for taking extracts from my writing and creating this book was to leave something for my three boys that could potentially help them in their journey of navigating life long after I am gone.

My reason for ultimately deciding to publish this book was to share what I have learned in the hope it can potentially help others travelling on their journey and grappling to answer the questions I faced.

Although it is a journey, we each have to travel for ourselves my hope is that this book will help others not to feel so alone as they make that journey.
